As energy systems continue to evolve, so do the ways in which energy services are provided. Integrated energy services are a new form of energy service in China that break away from traditional energy service models. By meeting the diverse and personalized energy needs of customers, they have garnered significant attention from all sides.
The Integrated Energy Project at Sunwoda's Nanjing Park Phase II Plant embodies five key development concepts: innovation, coordination, green practices, openness, and sharing. The project expands the park's four functional areas of power services, providing power supply, energy-saving, charging, and cooling services to the park. It has achieved tangible results, such as improving energy utilization efficiency, reducing overall energy costs, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing power supply reliability within the park.
An Energy Supply System Featuring Multi-Energy Complement
The project has an energy supply system featuring a multi-energy complement, including:
The Distributed Photovoltaic System with a 10kV grid connection is expected to generate a total of 127 million kWh and reduce carbon emissions by 125,000 tons over 25 years, creating additional assets and achieving energy conservation and emission reduction.
The Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging Microgrid System effectively solves the problem of insufficient distribution capacity. The super-fast charging technology, combined with Sunwoda's super-fast charging battery, can achieve a 10-minute rapid charge, helping to reduce users’ range anxiety and promote 'zero-carbon' travel.
The Chilled Water Storage System stores energy during off-peak hours and releases it during peak hours. The daily storage capacity is 46,100 tons, with an annual capacity of 16,831,400 tons, saving approximately 5.38 million RMB in electricity costs annually. The Natural Cold Source System operates during the winter, with an annual cooling capacity of 2,592,000 tons, saving approximately 0.35 million RMB in electricity costs annually.
The Steam Condensate Recovery System recycles the waste heat from the condensed steam to produce chilled water. The condensed steam can be used as makeup water for the cooling tower on the rooftop of the power station building, achieving cascade utilization of thermal energy. This system also solves the problem of high-temperature wastewater discharge.
This project is driven by two main goals: green practices and economic efficiency. To achieve these goals, the system uses digital simulation technology to develop an optimal planning scheme for the collaborative operation of multiple energy.
Exploration of Integrated Energy Service Model
The 14th Five-Year Plan for Modern Energy System issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration emphasizes prioritizing ecology and green development, strengthening the clean energy industry, implementing renewable energy substitution actions, and gradually increasing the proportion of new energy. Integrated energy services have become an inevitable choice to meet the trend of energy consumption.
Sunwoda has diversified solutions and rich project experience in integrated energy services and can provide customers with core equipment, system integration, overall solutions, planning and design, engineering construction, operation and maintenance, and other comprehensive services. A number of building-level, park-level, and district-level integrated energy supply systems have been built by Sunwoda to help industrial parks achieve zero-carbon development.
